  1. will that cure his wedge game because that has been worse then his driving. plus his putting has been off except bayhill this year.
  2. it does not have the history the other majors do. plus 17 is too gimmicky for a major.
  3. phil can play his best but when tiger is on nobody in this game today can come within six shots of him even if they play their best.
  4. ohair did gag a little late saturday and all sunday. but tiger made a all world bogey on 16 saturday. then made a better bogey on 18 saturday. then come sunday the 14th 15 th and 16th holes he played in one under when any other normal golfer plays those holes in 2 over or worse. that par save on 14 sunday was phenomenal. from a buried lye and 60 feet from the hole. the fact that he kept that bunker shot on 14 on the green was pure skill on his part.
  5. look at that again. the show is called uneven fairways not uneven lies. want proof. http://www.thegolfchannel.com/golf-video-tv/
  6. one win and they want to crown the guy the next big thing. boy people and media are too quick with that. he is not the next tiger woods. he is the first rory mcilroy. i seem to remember them saying this about jb holmes where he won the fbr in for the first time. also said this about justin rose too at birkdale in 1998.
  7. here here. im sick of people telling others what to do with their money. you don't like where you are at in life study or work harder to get a better job. nobody owes you anything in this life.
  8. dont forget he got sick with vertigo and never recovered his swing. vj works out religiously it has not bothered him any.
  9. ak, kenny perry would be exempt anyway being in the top 125 on the money list anyway. vj had 20 tour wins which means he has lifetime exemption on the pga tour as does tiger and phil.
  10. listen these guys play 7 euro events as it is. the 4 majors and 3 wgc are official european tour events. they only have to play in 5 more events in europe to gain membership on the euro tour. what is the big deal if the fbr open gets less top names in it. the colonial will suffer because there is a big euro tour event that week. so kim and villegas are going to have to find 5 more tournies to play in to get euro tour membership. really this is a non issue imo. they are not leaving the pga tour. those 7 events listed in the second sentence are pga tour events as well. plus with the fed ex cup that is potentially 4 more events on the pga tour. therefore they only need 4 more events to retain membership on the pga tour. arnie's, jack's and tiger's tournies with the player's championship should cover their pga tour requirements. plus they will play the buick invitational, northern trust at riviera and the wachovia. they need 15 tournies to retain membership on the pga tour.
  11. the ryder cup is just a glorified event. so will sergio's performances in the ryder cup put him in the hof. people put too much emphasis on this overblown event that has lost its luster.
  12. it toally agree with this post plus it gave us two point lead instead of a one point lead. sunday he could not hit anything but saturday putt on 18 to halve that match was big.
  13. ishot67 you abandoned the espn message board.
  14. van de velde third shot on 18 at carnoustie. you could tell he decelled on it. i know that rough that year in 1999 was brutal but he should have advanced more then 20 yards.
