  1. The only reason that you take exception with any statement about stack and tilt is because you are into it now. There was a time, it seems, that you weren't into it, and if any person was to read your past statements about the subject they would get a completely different view than you have right now. I don't give a rats ass what kind of swing you are into. I just can't believe how upset you are getting over this subject. We can debate forever different swing philosophies, and tournament wins against Major Tournament winners until hell freezes over. It will not change the fact that this new fad has yet to produce any significant amount of wins, per percentage playing it, than any other type of golf swing. Go back to my original post and re-read it. It was a statement made after reading a article today on Golf Magazine on-line. They made the same statement! They did not try to debate the fact that other pros from different swing gurus also did not make the final stage in Q School. Maybe you should contact Plummer and have him contact Golf Magazine and ask for a rebuttal!! I don't know about others that read, or are members of this forum, but I have seen several occasions on this forum where you call people out for not agreeing with you to some existent, and that is totally wrong. I hope that I never leave anyone with the impression that I even remotely know everything there is about the golf swing, but I know one thing. YOU ARE AN As*Hole!!!
  2. I guess that I would not expect anything less from the Golf Evolution. It was just an observation that some key (or should I say) pioneer students of the stack and tilt concept did not make the finals in Q School. It seems that Golf Digest and Golf Magazine made the same observation, but since I don't have as low as handicap as you my statement must not matter. It seems to me that a few of the moderators of this forum have become very sensitive to the opinions of others that do not adhere to the S&T; principles......maybe you should change the name of the forum to reflect your beliefs!!
  3. It looks like a bunch of the stack and tilt guys failed to advance through to the Q School finals. I quess they will be stack and tilting on the Nationwide Tour!

    Golf Fix

The Golf Channel use to dedicate Mondays to a show called "your game night". They had different teachers of the game on the show, and it was over a couple of hours so it was not rushed. I wish that they would bring that show back on!
  5. 1) Hands ahead of clubface at impact.....no scooping! 2) Eliminate a slight chicken wing by keeping left elbow pointing down after impact. 3) practicing putting 1hr a day. I don't know if it works for everyone, but I have been thinking.... left hand knuckles down and through the ball at impact. It has helped with compressing the ball better, and has help with the scoop!
  6. Another tip to end the shanks is to take an old shoe box and place it a couple of inches above the ball. Then hit shots trying to not touch the box. After doing this for a dozen or shots remove the box and pretend that it is still there and hit a few more. I try to think about a wall that close to the ball and it stops me from hitting the hosel. Also, try to feel that on the back swing that you move your weight from the balls of your feet to the right heel, and the to the left heel on the follow through. A lot of times with shorter irons you will have a tenancy to move toward your toes and closer to the ball.
  7. Now I realize that my handicap is not scratch, so I say this with all of the respect in the world, but you must have never had difficulties with losing the ball to the right like the majority of us. I know by my own experience that to make a swing change I would have to exaggerate the feeling for the change to take hold. I still fight the right once in a while, and so I have to exaggerate that feeling of release to get the ball back to my normal draw. I know my own tendencies and sometimes they are to hold on through impact. I don't know why I just know how to fix it when it starts to happen.
  8. If you want to try something...then try going back to stronger grip, but not as strong as you had before. If the ball still snap hooks try being more aggressive with the lower body. A lot of good players play with a strong grip, and when they fight a hook it is because those arms out-race the body and turn the club over to much. Almost impossible to do if you are using that lower body well. Over exaggerate the open hips at impact and see if that does not straighten the hook out!
  9. The hybrid is several inches shorter that a driver, and perhaps a few inches shorter that the 3 wood. The shorter the club the easier it is to square the clubface.
  10. I generally will close my stance a hair, and being right handed try to see a swing path that goes from 7 o'clock to 1. Being left handed you would try to produce a swing path that goes from 5 o'clock to 11. 12 being the front of the ball and 6 being the back of the ball. I hope that this makes since.
  11. What do your divots look like. I am just wondering if the heal of the clubs are hitting first and turning the toe over for a hook. Go to golf galaxy with your 6 iron and have them tape it on the bottom, and hit a few off of the impact board just to check the lie angles.
  12. I deal with the same issue! Make sure that you don't have a death grip on the club......grip pressure. I always ice the elbow after playing, and it seems to help a lot. The bands do work to some extent...especially while playing.
  13. A shot to the left is caused from an out -to -in swing path with the face sqaure (pull) or closed (hook). I try to keep my back to the target a little longer in the down swing to make sure that I approach the ball from the inside - out. Check to make sure your grip is not sneeking to the strong side also.
  14. I fight some of the same issues. What I have found that helps me is when I start to hit the little fades then I have to concentrate on the back of my left hand facing the target at impact. I have noticed that it seems that when the ball starts to go right on me that the back of my left hand is not square at impact, but slightly still turned to the right. I hope that this makes sense to you. I have even exaggerated the left hand to be slightly closed or turned to the left at impact, and then released seems to bring the draw back.
  15. Try pretending that there is a pane of glass from just outside your left foot straight up. Then pretend to break that pane of glass with the butt end of the club on the downswing. Don't forget to turn with your lower body and nice follow through!
