  1. I work at a small town muni. We sometimes close due to weather (rain or cold). If we close due to rain or water on the course, we sometime allow walking but no carts so if one would like to come walk in the muck and or rain, they are welcome and they play free. The thing that gets me is the shop closes at 6 pm during the summer hours and the big gate is locked. We have a man gate that stays open. As people complete their rounds the carts stack up behing the shop waiting for the cart guy to clean them after all are in. Many times, I've been playing and watched people walk in man gate, grab a cart and go play. In my opinion, THIS is stealing. It amazes me that folks think that that is okay to do. Some people are brazen.
  2. I work at a course. We allow high school golf team members to play (if walking) to play for free to support the team. It may help his maturity and pocketbook if he would speak with the management and explain his situation about being a team member and ask if the course would do the same. This gives him an opportunity to interact with adults and maybe not have to worry about getting caught in an embarrassing situation.
  3. Not Tiger for sure. Too much personal baggage being an unfaithful spouse. Phil would be my choice.
  4. I work part time a local muni. I am allowed free play and free cart at any time I can get on which is frequently. I must admit I walk quite a bit and when I do use a cart I usually have a paying customer or two playing along. When I complete my round with a cart, I usually wash it and get it ready to go again. I feel they are giving me free golf and free cart, it is the least I can do. It's all good as far as I'm concerned.

  6. The only noise that seems to bother me is loud music. When i can hear it from 3 holes away I feel it is too loud. In my opinion, if someone wants to play music, wear ear buds so as not to annoy other golfers on the course.
  7. This isn't what I found, it's what I lost. I left a 7 iron on a green at my home course. When I went into clubhouse the next day to ask if it had been turned in the kid behind the counter asked what club I was looking for. When I told him my 7 iron he replied, "Oh, I have one of them, I would have turned it in". So I assume that if he found a club that he did not have, he would keep it. So guys that have lost anything on the course, consider yourself very lucky to ever get it back with people playing behind you with that kid's attitude.
