We have a trip planned in August where we'll play two rounds on the resort.  We currently have an afternoon open, when a few of our group does not want to play.  Does anyone know if there is a replay policy at the resort and if so, what is the cost?  Is it limited to the course you play or can we get on another course as a replay?  TIA

It depends on what package you are on.  Are you staying at the resort or elsewhere?  Best thing to do is call the resort or whatever company you booked through and ask.

The other option is to play the Cradle and Thistle Du.  Just back from a great weekend in my future home. The Cradle is $50 but it's an all day green fee.  Played it twice in two hours and it's just a lot of fun.  Thistle Du is an 18 hole putting course that is free.  A great way to spend an afternoon.  Drinks at the Deuce are not to be missed either.  Good drinks, food and fun at The Pine Crest Inn at night.  You want to try chipping into the fireplace, my wife did it on her first try and quit.  The record is 25 in a row.

We already have some time set aside for the Cradle and are planning to play Thistle Dhu.  We were hoping to get an extra full round in on our free afternoon but thanks for the suggestions.

    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
