Guys,

I have a buddy that has a GC Quad and I have a Skytrak and we talked about wanting to demo a few shafts to see what type of numbers we would get. First off, I know it would be much simpler to go get fitted. I am going to visit him this coming weekend and we just both geek out on the numbers trying different shafts, settings.

I planned on buying a few shafts and then sell them on ebay if none really work, but just reaching out to you guys to see if you may have a pull-out driver shafts that you might consider letting us borrow? Not your gamer, just if you are not hitting it. Of course, when we are done, I would ship it back and pay for original shipping.

ShaftShack has a demo program, but some of the shafts there for demo aren't available and the 3 days isn't really great since I will be traveling to visit my friend this weekend through Thursday week, but doesn't have to make this trip.

Anyway, I just thought I would reach out to the forum to see if anyone has anything they wouldn't mind letting us demo. Oh and if you search my user name here you will find a long, long history of my life. That is my ebay account name and also bought and sold 25 or so Guitars on the Acoustic Guitar Forum and plenty of reviews there to show that I am trustworthy.

We both have Callaway's but also own a Taylormade M4 so if you have anything with the Taylormade adapter would love to give it a swing too... Boy wouldn't it be nice if all manufacturers would go to a common adapter. If there is an option for converting adapters you know about please let me know about that too please..

Thanks so much!

    • Day 2 (20 Jan 26) - Similar work as yesterday - started with lead hand solo drills with the 50°, followed by series of pitches and chips utilizing full setup.
    • Hey, thanks for the feedback. I do lift weights but I’m also adding yoga or Pilates for mobility and flexibility to my routine.
    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
