I have the r7 425 now, but havent played in two years and am looking to re-vitalize my bag.

Was wondering if anyone has had problems with the bottoms of the driver wearing out. Its a great looking club, but that black finish on the bottom gets me nervous.

Was wondering how fast the finish fades or if it even does at all. I am a range rat aswell, and we all know that those mats arent as forgiving as Kentucky Blue. Any information about this I would certainly be grateful.

At this point its a toss up between the Cobra Speed Pro and the Superquad, only question in the equation is the wear on the bottom of the club.

I had the same concern. I've had my SQ for about 3 months now and it's in excellent shape. The bottom and face are holding up nicely, but I'm not one to take practice swings and hit the ground (only accidentally). It has never hit a mat although I've used it off the mats (I use a tee adapter instead of the white rubber tees).

I've seen many in the 'used' barrel that were not in good shape. Some of those clubs took a beating, so I suppose it's really up to you. If you hit your driver fat, take divots during your practice swings then, yes, you can expect it'll scratch.

      This is an awesome breakdown. most of the bigger tournaments usually have one wave with the advantage, Thank you for the breakdown. If it is soft then it will be a lower final score

      Over the past 15 years, the winning score has ranged from -10 to -20. Mostly around -13.  Here is Thursday and Friday weather. Saturday and Sunday weather. I think the course will play soft. Plenty of sky cover, lots of rain on Thursday. Fairways and greens will probably stay soft throughout the week.  In terms of tee times, I think Thursday morning and Friday afternoon have the biggest advantage.       Things that I am or have worked on... 1.    Trail Elbow - Check 2.    Hip Turn - Check 3.    Rolled Inside - Check 4.    Wide Takeaway - Check 5.    Sway and Tilt - Nope, but I did a hip turn and tilt 🤣 I am giving myself 4.5/5 for my long backswing.  Great post!

      We have a very difficult but mostly showy course this week. Lets see what they got. This course offers so many chances to get into trouble it is really a mental minefield. I am excited to see who can handle it and who cant. Last year we got a foreshadowing of JJ and Rory, I am excited for this year Who do people have winning? what will the winning score be? I am thinking 12 or 13 under
