A few minutes on google came up with 1975 for a very similar model just cosmetically different in the script and so forth, so that would lead me to believe that the ones you have are only a season or so off plus or minus. The exact ones were on Ebay with the aluminum shafts for 275 bucks. I think its a nice looking club, I like that old school look. I am curious as to what an aluminum shafted club feels like to hit.

Thanks for the information. Although the shaft stickers state regular flex, they feel stiff. Due to their firmness, they aren’t the most forgiving clubs and lack some feel. They are lighter than my normal clubs, so I’m always careful not to swing them too fast.

MyGolfSpy has an interesting piece on Tommy Armour golf clubs. It covers before, during, and after the 845 irons surge of 1987-1994, and recent efforts of Dick's to return it to respectable brand status.

The original Tommy Armour 845s was the ulimate one-hot wonder. It was a household name, but ultimately led to Tommy Armour's demise.
