I picked up a used Callaway Heavenwood 7 wood in great shape on Friday, it has the standard Callaway flex graphite shaft. It is quite light despite not being the newest tech, The standard Callaway grip has held up well to years of use,

I'm a  beginner with 2 months golfing and have had very little success with the older Nickent Woods I was gifted in my hand me down club set.  I bought a Titelist 5 Hybrid that I have minimal luck with and a Cobra 3 hybrid that is very useful off the deck but of limited utility for me off the tee.

I have been very impressed with the Heavenwood, I took it to the range on Friday and I was having some luck off the tee and deck. I played 9 holes today and focused on just taking an easy swing with it and had my best day driving ever. I hit 6 out of 9 fairways for the day , and 2 of them I missed on I didn't use the Heavenwood. I had several 180 drives straight down the middle and dropped a 142 yard par 3 right onto the green.

Despite being quite long , far longer than my Hybrid 3 or 5, it seems easier to ward off the slicing which plagues me with the true 5 wood and driver. The guy I bought it from said he used it as a tee shot club for 170-ish par 3's, he had 2 of this same club he hung onto his other one. He has an extra of the Warbird Callaway 2 wood from the same set, I'm thinking of picking it up as well. For $30 it's worth a try.
