Clearing out Grandfather's house found set 2 - 9 MacGregor irons stamped REC 945 and in another place 3M / 265R.

Is there any way I can find out how old these things are?  

I remember him using in the 60s, but think someone owned them before him.

Actually look all original... shaft label says "MacGregor TrueTemper", the grips look like they are red/black leather wrapped... I did not realize entire head was actually copper then chrome added everywhere but face.
