Hi, all

It looks like I shall be coming to Chicago for a conference at the beginning of June. Probably arriving 31st May and leaving the 3rd or 4th, which leaves 1st and 2nd free!

Any suggestions on where to play, that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Do they do (left-handed) club hire or would I be better to bring my own?

And any other suggestions for must-see sights to visit?

Thanks in advance

Ruari

PS - anyone got room in their Sunday round?

Hi, all

I used to live in chicago and in my opinion the best course for the money near chicago is cog hill #2. It is located in Lemont, IL which is about a half an hour outside the city. There are four courses there with 1 and 3 being your typical muni course. No. 4 is 'dubsdread' where the western..er, BMW championship is held, and while really nice is 135+ to play. No. 2 is/was around $70 and is very similar since it intertwines with #4.

I also liked Water's Edge which is just south of the city.

Thanks, Rusty

I've looked at Cog Hill and it seems rather attractive - and the rates are very good for someone from the UK, with the current exchange rate. Even if I don't play Dubsdread, being able to say 'Cog Hill? Oh yes, I've played that one' would give good bragging rights!
