My Swing (Abracadabra)

Recommended Posts

I've been Playing Golf for: 2 years
My current handicap index or average score is: 22
My typical ball flight is: Draw
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: My long clubs - Driver / 5 FW / 3 hybrid

So I've been playing for nearly 2 years and this year broke 90 for the first time. Since then things have been getting worse.

My mid irons have been 'good'. My wedges and putting is very good for me.

Now I know I need lessons but I cannot for the life of me work out why my woods and driver have gone so wrong.

On my practice swing it feels natural and good. On the actual swing, I get to the top and my hands feel like I have lost control of the club. I often have to stop as I know it's going to go horribly wrong.

Is there anything obvious or straight to lessons??

It's not really a matter of your practice swing versus your real swing. Your real swing, predictably, is a bit longer, etc.

What's most problematic is that the clubface is pointing where it's pointing, and that's because of how your wrists behave.

I would do this…

1. Watch this video:

2. Do days 3, 4, and 20 at…

Your left wrist is severely arched at the top, which closes the heck out of the clubface.
