I got my AP1's last week and was able to play them on two rounds in Virginia this weekend. The clubs are amazing. I am at least one club longer with them, which is great but made the first couple rounds with them a little difficult with distance control.

My previous set was the 2004 Big Berthas which performed well, but were a little too forgiving. The AP1s offer the perfect blend of performance and forgiveness.

Anyone considering new irons this season should definitely give these a look.

What else did you look at and what did you think? I'm thinking about the AP1s, TaylorMade Tour Burner or R7 tour, maybe Calloway X-20.

I hit the Callaway x-20 tours as well. They felt fine, but not like the AP1. I also did not want to get something that was over my head. So, the AP1 seemed like the best fit for me.
