So on clubs that have a draw bias, weight is moved to the heel of the club to induce a draw for players who have trouble doing so with regular clubs.

Here's where I get confused:

Weight at the heel of the club for a right handed golfer will produce a left to right ball flight, or a draw.

Weight at the heel of the club for a left handed golfer will produce the same ball flight but it's a fade.

Can someone clarify how a "draw" model works for left handed golfers?

For a left hander, a draw goes from left to right and a fade goes from right to left. They are the opposite of right handers. The club technology is the same in that the weight is closer to the heel (shaft).

I already said those things in my OP so that didn't help much.

I'll phrase it like this: What ball flight is a "draw" club going to give a left-handed player?

Weight at the heel of the club for a right handed golfer will produce a left to right ball flight, or a draw.

Weight in the heel will produce a draw which for a right handed player is RIGHT TO LEFT, not left to right, that is a fade/slice.

Thus for a left hander, a draw is LEFT to RIGHT and a fade/slice is right to left. The way it works for both left handed and right handed players is that the added weight in the heel of the club helps the player release the club quicker, hence hitting the ball left, also the closed club face at address promotes starting the ball more left. Both of these added together should help people who slice the ball by bringing the flight more neutral, not necessarily to a draw.

NO you didn't!

see... you said L to R for right handers = draw / L to R for left handers = fade... which is NOT correct.

For a left hander, a draw goes from left to right and a fade goes from right to left. They are the opposite of right handers. The club technology is the same in that the weight is closer to the heel (shaft).

the above answer is clear and understandable... but let me say it again...

left-hander draw = L to R right-hander draw = R to L same technology in each club, producing the same results... difference is what side of the ball you stand on.

i met a callaway rep once that told me those things are: b.s. and more of a marketing ploy. It won't cure a severe slice...it can help a little bit..but if you're slicing like crazy..then the draw weighted technology and offest of the club will NOT help you.
why don't you work on your swing instead of spending $ to try to correct it for you? Further.
a Draw is OUTSIDE TO IN.
can we stop with right to left or left to right b/c some people are lefties..
so outside to in is the best description instead of direction.... and fade is inside out.. grazie

uhmm... why would you not describe something based on direction. And what is this "outside to in = draw"... if you are talking swing path that is incorrect... and I think that language is MUCH more confusing than basic R to L or L to R. Also... he didn't say anything about slice correction... he just mentioned it would help hit a draw, which these clubs will do to an extent if you currently hit a straight ball.

You got those backwards.

not talking about swing path people. talking about the way the ball works

the ball flies from outside coming in towards your body on a draw. yeah swing path is in to out..but ball flight is out to in... isn't it easier to say out to in or in to out instead of left to right b/c some people are left handed? that's just my preference....instead of making assumptions that everyone's a righty.

I don't know... to me when you say out to in or vise versa it can be confsuing because this is the language we use for talking about swing paths... anyway, as long as the guy you are talking to knows what they are; then "draw" and "fade" are likely the best terms to describe shot shapes.

I guess everyone looks at it a little differently... hook, draw, fade, slice banana ball, cut, etc.
