Cost to reshaft irons????

Was talking to a buddy today about his irons.

He has a set of the normal X-14's that he likes but wants to reshaft them. They currently have factory steel shafts and he wants to go to another steel shaft of a different stiffness.

What is the appoximate cost for having this done????

I told him that he may be better off selling his and buying new stuff....not sure, though.

It depends on the price of the shaft. Generally, the cost of replacing and regripping is $12-$14. Add in the price of the shaft, anywhere from $5-$25, you're looking at $17-$40.

What type/brand of shaft is he looking at? A cheap alternative is an Apollo Stepless Steel Shaft. I have them on my backup set and they are really good. They cost about $4, each.
