r7 460 Draw

Now, I just started going to the driving range frequently about 6 months ago. I just started actually shootin' 18 about 6 weeks ago, I go every 2 weeks.

I have used a Taylor Made r540 XD driver all 3 times, and just purchased a r7 Draw.

Let's just say, I used to hit, on my BEST shot, a small fade. On my worst, a horrible boomerang slice. I used this new beast-of-a-driver at the driving range twice, and on my best shot, I'm hitting a nice draw, and on my worst, a small fade.

So, my best shot has turned into by worst shot, and by worst shot no longer exists.

Who else is EXTREMELY satisfied with this driver?

((Keep in mind, I'm 15)

I'm 15 as well and I use the driver.

I don't like it really, I'm about to switch to the superquad or the burner.

Well that club is more suited to higher handicap players who have trouble turning the ball over and is super forgiving. The R540 is not as a forgiving club as the r7 Draw is. The reason for this is that with a more forgiving club you lose the ability to control the shape of the shot so with less forgiving drivers like the R540 the club is responding that you want the ball to go the the right. With the r7 Draw it is built to get rid of the slice and is built and weighted so that the clubhead comes square at impact and you dont have the giant slice that you had before. It is a great club for someone with you experience and will make the game a lot more enjoyable..best of luck.

I'm bumping this old topic I made about a week ago to say that, for the first time ever, I hit EVERY fairway on my drives yesterday.

People say that clubs can't fix a slicer, but they can. Even my dad when I bought this club said "It's a waste of money. A new driver isn't going to fix your swing." I usually golf with a few friends and I hit abiut 80% of the fairways now usually. Yesterday I golfed with my dad for the first time with this driver and his jaw just dropped.

If you're a banana-ball slicer..this club is for you. At the driving range, I'll hit about 150 balls. 25 of them are draws, 110 of them are STRAIGHT, 10 are a nice baby-fade, and 5 are a slice. I used to slice about 90% of my drives and never saw the fairway.

Oh, and I hit this driver about 30 yds further than my prev. one. I'm now hitting about 260 w/ roll, right down the freaking middle.

So yeah, if you slice it over and over, this is the best $130 you can possibly spend. It's made the game of golf so much fun for me.
