Decided to go with a 3-wood since I'll start playing at Bethpage almost on a weekly basis.
According to Golf magazine the TP is more forgiving and longer than the Titleist.
Retail price is $249 for the TP and $199 for the Titleist. Probably can get them for $20 if I just take one off the rack. If I were to get fitted at Golf Galaxy or Golf Smith, it would be retail + tax + fitting fee.
Any ideas on which and if I should pay the extra to get fitted?

There are so many options for the shafts. Does the fitting decide what kind of shaft I should be using?

the stock shaft in the TM is a 75g shaft - this may have a impact if you try out this one. The 906 is a lot smaller - with the TM you get a more friendly picture at address. I'd say try them both out on the course if you can - and if you're serious about it, get fit.

i use a 13.5 906f4 with a UST V2 shaft and im pretty happy with it. Its not the most forgiving 3-wood out there, but overall i think its the best. Its very easy to work the ball with that club if that is what you like to do.
