Bought a Wilson Hb5 17 deg in steel last week and played with it today..OMG say goodbye to my 3 iron.

Although I completely understand the benfits of hybrids and the fact that I should embrace technology, I'm still holding tight to tradition. I figure if the guys back in the days could regularly shot 5, 6, 7 under par with the irons from those days, I can still handle a 3 and 4 iron.

I can't not agree more with you, although I would put a hybird for a 2 iron.

Ben, the hybrid is for us mortals and not for you Mr. +0.7 Index..BAH!! Quick ?: I was on the Mizuno site and it said that the MP32 3 iron had 21 deg. of loft..but this hybrid is 17 deg..would it replace this or actually like a 2 iron? It says Hb5 17 deg. 3

I can still hit my 3-iron just fine, so I too used a hybrid to replace my 2-iron.
