Cleaning Clubs

What's your method of cleaning clubs?
How often do you clean your clubs?
How do you clean before putting them in storage?

Just wanted to get some info on everyone's maintenance methods.

- Tiny bit of soap and warm water. Not too hot, not too cold. Room temperature, lol.

- Every 54 holes or so, which is about twice a week for me.

- Towel, soap/warm water, and a soft-bristled brush

Really works well for me. I guess I take my time but usually takes me about 20 minutes to clean all my clubs. Maybe I'm just a neat freak though.

I'm a loser so I pretty much clean my clubs every time I play...

I continually strip my wedges of their finish, reapply gun blue or keep them raw, let them rust and repeat

it keeps me busy and away from buying new clubs

To answer you question, I clean my clubs with warm tap water and a club cleaning brush.

Just wondering for those with cavity backs. I see some rust in the back. Anything to clean that up?

you just have to make sure you keep your irons free from moisture...

rust is hard to get out of there

If Im playing early in the morning or after a rain, I make sure that I wipe my club off with my golf towel.

Also, when Im cleaning them after my round, I make sure to dry them after Im done cleaning them. My clubs are stainless steel, so rust isnt as much of an issue as if they were forged, but no sense tempting fate.

I have used those little buckets that this one field I go to has where inside it has bristles soap and water. I let it air dry and it looks beautiful.

I will, however, clean it myself if I really need to based on the comments above.
