could someone please tell me the diff. between say 2* up and 2* flat and the benifit of having this. Also can I have my current clubs customised or do you have to order them that way?
If anyone is in the Akron, ohio area could you refer me to a good fitter.

Basically the 2 up or 2 flat is talking about your lie angle.

That would be the angle of the shaft of the club in proportion to to angle of the club head.

Basically if you have a club thats 2 degrees up then the club head is bent upwards a little bit which will typically make you stand a little closer to the ball. 2 flat will make the club lie flatter which will make you stand a bit further away.

The benefit of having a club that matches your swing is that the sole of the club head is meant to return flatly to the ground when you strike the ball. If yours isn't returning flatly, meaning the toe or heel is hitting rather than the middle sole, then it can make the ball do some funny things.

Your clubs can be bent if they are forged or if they are cast with a softer type of metal. It is typically pretty inexpensive but you need a consistent enough swing that they can find your proper lie angle.
