Which one should I pick? I'm a beginner golfer looking for an easy set to play.

Some one recommended me the Cobra transition-S, which is a hybrid iron set. I love the look of the club (never tried to swing it yet), but before I made any purchase, I was told that Cleveland Hibore hybrid iron set was almost half the price of the cobra.

Should I go for the cleveland since the price is so much cheaper? How do the two clubs compare? Is the Cobra twice as good as the cleveland?

Need some advise fast as I'm about to buy them. Many thanks.

Price does always translate to quality. But IMO neither of the sets are better then the other, but you might like one set more than the other. My suggestion is to go hit both sets of clubs and decide by determining with set feels best to you. And another thing is I wouldn't just buy them right away, take your time with this decision since you don't want to get one set and then end up not liking it, or liking the other set better, since then you would be out the money.

Here's what I play:

Titleist 907 D2 10.5* UST ProForce V2 76-S | Titleist 906F4 18.5* Aldila VS Proto "By You" 80-S | Titleist 585H 21* Aldila VS Proto "By You" 80-S | Titleist ZB 4-PW TTDG S300 | Bob Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can 54.10 | Bob Vokey Spin Milled Oil Can 60.08 | Scotty Cameron Red X5 33" |

That is exactly my question. If both set are about the same quality and spec, with all things being equal, and it only boils down to look and personal preference, then with the price gap of almost double, I will seriously consider the cleveland.

My point is that neither of them is particularly better or better quality, you just need to pick the ones that look good, and feel good to you

For the most part, clubs are about preference. If you hit them both equal and like them both equal, then price point is a major factor.

Definitely hit them both. If you buy the Cleveland because they make a quality product at a lower price, then you might save money. But if it turns out you don't like the way they hit and then have to go out and replace them with something else, you've wasted money and time. So hit them first, because quality and price considerations are only really meaningful if you know whether or not you like them and hit them well.

Bought the cobra transition-S. I never knew there could be so much improvement in my swing compare to my old callaway x-14. I have a lot more confident now and able swing straight 9/10 times.

I have been resisting the change and the x-14 was the reason I gave up golf 8 years ago. Now come to think of it, I should have changed it 8 years ago. The transition-S is a great club to have for high handicapper/quitter like myself.

Anyone else have comments or experience about it?
