Hey,

I'm a high handicapped golfer and after using my friends 990's the other week i decided to cash in on my 'starter set'. I managed to pick up a set in next to new condition for £129.99...

I know that the 990's aren't as forgiving as other clubs but i'm hoping they'll improve my game.

Any opinions?

I had the 990's and the 990B's a few years back. Good clubs, the longer irons will be a little harder for you to hit but other than that it's a great starter set. I loved mine when I had them.

Its what I started golf with two months ago, after reading it probably wasnt the best choice for a beginner, as they arent too forgiving, but I feel they are improving my game and working and my ball striking abilities, and when you hit a pure stroke it feels great, but I have nothing else to compare the clubs to.
