Awhile ago I had two hybrid clubs. One was a 22 degree 7 trouble wood, and the other was a 9 wood. I was told that the 7 wood should replace a 3 iron, and the 9 wood should replace a 4 iron. A friend of mine gave me a ping G5 19 degree, and I read that it replaced a 3 iron, so I took the 7 wood out of my bag, and put the ping in. Can someone tell me what each of these hybrids replaces(7 wood, 9 wood, and ping G5 19 degree)?

Well woods and hybrids are completely different. But the loft of your 7 wood is around most 4 irons and the 9 would replace a 5/6 iron. The g5 19 degree would in fact replace a 3 iron as most 3 irons are 19-21 degees.

Oh ok thanks. So I think the best thing to do is put the 7 wood back in, keep the G5 in, and take out the 9 wood.
