Tied for my personal best score today (39, +3) Hit 4/7 fairways, 4/9 greens, and had only 16 putts. Started off with a horrible double (3 putt), then went par, bogey, par, par, par, par, par, par. My driving is starting to improve. My short irons have been great. And my short game has been phenomenal. It took me a little while, but golf is starting to click in my mind.

Same here. Except sadly for me, the season is over up north so I gotta wait until spring to truely start playing regularly again. Hope i don't lose the progress I've made.

Yeah, that's how it is in Massachusetts. I'll try and play 4 or 5 more times, but after that it won't even be enjoyable.

Yea same here in NY. Guess come December it'll have to be heated driving ranges till late March hahaha.

Yeah I know. Up until this winter there hasn't been a heated range anywhere close, but the range that my high school #1 works at is about 5 minutes away and they're heating it this year.

    • I used to have a 21 degree Ping 7 wood, but it spun a lot and tended to come up short if there was any headwind or quartering wind.  Replaced it with a 20* Adams Idea Pro Tour Prototype.  Great hybrid and there are still some out there on eBay for decent prices (I think Langer still bags two of them).
    • Wins the week before and files for divorce the same week. I’m not putting money on Rory.
    • Partial to the Golf Pride CP2 Pro.  Softer than a Tour Velvet and pretty durable (I play 5 times a week and they last a year or more with no issues).
    • Tiger Wood's Driver Clinic Got this on Twitter. Which then I found the video above.  Tiger asking Rory to hit that control cut. Rory talks a bit about how he likes to stand taller, so he doesn't feel like he can shallow it with the body. Tiger puts it in his words, staying on top of the ball. Which I presume for Tiger his feel for a cut. Even the PGA Tour players have their own ways to achieve similar shots and describe it with their own swing thoughts (feels). Good insight in how PGA Tour player's develop swing feels to produce the shot they want. Could be something as simple as a posture change.
    • Awesome, thank you very much for chiming in and for explaining. I will give it a try today. I was chipping in my back yard with my new irons and had a huge smile on my face from just how well they were performing, feeling and sounding compared to the old 70's blades I was playing. I look forward to giving your drill a shot!
