I hit some balls at the range today, and about halfway through I started getting a pain in my left forarm, near my wrist. I thought it could be from lifting weights, but it only seems to happen when I hit balls.

Anybody else experience something like this?

For now I'm just putting ice on it and taking ibuprofen (sp). But idk what to do if it doesn't stop hurting when I play. Maybe I should take a little break this winter and work on my short game and putting.

Happened before or just recently? I get a left wrist pain (which is manageable) after hitting practice balls or playing a lot. It's a repetitive stress problem which in my case is here to stay, probably as I have a little bit of arthritis coming on early in my fingers/wrists. It fades and I take the odd ibuprofen. I get it worse practicing off mats; turf is generally OK unless I'm hitting a bit thin! It's not bad and it isn't going to stop me playing .

If it's the first time you've noticed it, it could be anything to do with muscles (pulls etc), ligaments or tendons. Rest/ice, wait 'till it feels OK, try some gentle hitting and see if it recurs. If it does, I'd get some advice; physio or medical.

Common sense I guess - if it hurts a lot, stop hitting and seek advice!

This particular pain is new, but I am prone to forarm pain in my right arm from working out at the gym.

I'm gonna take some of everyone's advice and ice it, take ibuprofen and rest it after I play.
