I'm sick and tired of my hybrid. At first I was hitting it great. Straight, pretty far, and high. Now I'm shanking it, pulling it, slicing it, it's awful. Probably going to put my 5 wood back in and take out my hybrid, and put my 4 iron back in as well.

Maybe your desire to go back to a 5-wood is a signal that you are subconsciously using a fairway wood swing with the hybrid club and you need to go back to hitting down on the ball?

(Just grabbing at straws here...)

I was the same way. I tried hybrids this summer and fought them all summer. I cant get the feel for them. Im sticking with my long irons. Sold my hybrids and im not looking back. I gave them a fair chance, just never was comfortable with them.

Exactly the opposite. I'm swinging to down on the ball. It's funny, but I feel more comfortable with a fairway wood in my hand.

go with what works best for you. no matter how you swing, a hybrid might just not have the right feel for you. i personally carry one because it does come in handy, but i usually go to my 7wood or 4iron over the hybrid. go with what will help your game the most, and have fun!

Used to carry not one but a minimum of 2-3 in all the previous incarnations of my bag. Then now i do not carry one but I am considering getting one again, probably a 22*- my reason? For getting out of those rough and tough spots my iron or my woods cant get me out of. Let's face it, that was the original reason why they were invented that's why TM called them RESCUE's. That's all they should be used for IMHO.
