It always seemed odd that Tiger would be pushing Buicks, anyway. Buick is by far more of an old man's car than a young man's. Here in South Florida, you see a LOT of Buicks, and 98% of them are being driven by elderly people. Tiger is more appealing to the younger set, I think, and he would be more of a natural to be endorsing sportier type cars. Buick is a fine car, but just does not have the appeal for the younger crowd. I am surprised Tiger lasted nine years. I would also imagine that GM's financial woes have a lot to do with it too, and I suspect Buick is going to drastically change its marketing strategy to focus on the market it seems to already have, namely, the older crowd.

They have skewed increasingly younger every year Tiger was a sponsor. Granted, "younger" for them is the 40-yo soccer mom, but still...

He drives a Porsche now and has for a few years. Don't expect that will change.

Not only did Bob Nardelli tell the US Congress that he receives no salary from Cerberus, the partnership that owns Chrysler Corporation, but Edward M. Liddy, CEO of AIG has just announced last week that he is cutting his salary to $1. So, now, when will Rick Wagoner, CEO of General Motors, see the light and cut his salary to $1? Also, Alan Mulally, CEO of Ford Motor Company. If they want to receive a Rescue Plan from the US taxpayers, they need to sacrifice themselves, and show the way to true cost-cutting! Let us see if Mr. Wagoner and Mr. Mulally announce this during their submission of financial plans and projections to the US Congress today.
