I was searching for some clubs today on eBay, and I kept seeing the older Titleist fairway woods for a very reasonable price. I was looking at the Pro Trajectorys since I absolutely hate hitting high woods, long irons, and even mid irons. Anybody ever hit these?

And also I saw the Scotty Cameron Phantom Mallet putters for very cheap. Anybody hit these?

As you can tell I'm extremely cheap.

Seriously, if you're looking for a mallet putter, there are so many better options than a Scotty Mallet.
I think they have no feel at all.
But go to your local golf shop and hit them.
I know my golf galaxy could sink a ship with all of the Pro-Trajectory woods they have for like 30 dollars, in perfect condition.

Yeah I might go down to Golf Galaxy and look at their fairway woods, and maybe their SC's. Do you know if they have cheap putters at Golf Galaxy. I'm talking real cheap, like in the double digits.

It all depends on what model of the PT's you're talking about. I think Tiger carried an old PT for a very long time. IMO, the older models were targeted to the single digit handicaps, the newer models are more forgiving, etc.. As for double digit putters, sure, you can find one there in that range. You probably won't find a Scotty there in that range. However, again, IMO, just be patient and keep looking on eBay, etc.. You MAY get lucky and find an older Scotty in your price range!

My local one does, including a few Camerons too.

Yes, didn't like it. The only Cameron I'd hit before I started looking for one was the one I eventually bought and that was because of the great feel. I presumed it was a general Scotty Cameron trait so was tempted by the cheap prices of the Futura Phantom but when I tried it I really didn't like it.

The reason they are cheap is because they are the ugly ducklings of the Cameron range so go for next to nothing on the second hand market. The same can be said for the X Series and the Detours. Doesn't mean they are bad putters, they just aren't as well revered as say the Circa 62 or the Studio Select range.

Just picked up a 906F4 18.5 with an aldila nv shaft for $59 from the local PGA store. They had all of their old demo models marked down. Hit a bunch and this performed and felt surprisingly well. I've never felt I could hit Titleist but was pleasantly surprised. Doing my best not to get the 907D1 or D2 they have for $115...

Not a big fan of the futura phantom, but the original futura is a beast. Another under valued SC is the Detour, it is also a really great putter.
