Let me start out by saying I just started golf about 3-4 months ago...
When I first started I shot in the 150 then now I am under 100.
The Adams are good... but I went to Golf Galaxy and was hitting some Titeilst 690Cb and they felt great and the Mizuno MP32... I know they are some what blades...
But I figure why not hit the better clubs and get better instead of hitting my Cavity Back Irons...
I also love the slim profile at address of teh Mizuno compare to the Adams...

can someone shine some light on this...

thanks

stick with the cavity back irons, they will continue to help your game. If you switch over to blades now, your scores will go back up, and you will likely become discouraged. High handicapers need to concentrate on making solid iron contact and hitting fairways/greens, and 2 putting. They dont need to worry about working the ball, and the feel the get after a perfect shot...because this does not happen alot when you combind high handicapers and blades.

Agreed. You should not be concerned with feel as a 25 handicap. I don't even know if I should be at a 14.1. Forgiveness is key at your level. Most 25's don't have a repeatable enough swing to benefit from a "player's" club. Your scores will rise as well because of the lack of forgiveness.

If I were you, I would stick with the Adams for a while.

If you like your current irons, stick with them for at least a year. Buying new irons this early will encourage impulse buys in the future. You are at risk for developing the expensive habit of buying equipment to fix a swing flaw.

I am quite frugal. I'll buy a new driver every 4 years. New irons every 5 years. I've had two putters in the twenty years that I've been playing.

If you feel like you must replace some of your forgiving irons with forged clubs, start at the gap wedge or sand wedge. Forged PW, GW, SW, LW for handicaps greater than 18 is fine. Once you get to around 12, then start thinking about forged 8iron and 9 iron.

Hold onto your forgiving Adams long irons 7iron on down for now, for sure.

Regrip your clubs at least every 20 rounds or so.

Good advice there.

I will keep my A3 but i got such a great deal on a brand new set of MP-32 and pulled the trigger...
Will practice with the blade for a little bit... and see how it goes...
When I was testing out the MP-67 at GG I was hitting a 7 iron 150 yards and nice little draw... So I hope when I hit on grass it will be the same as on the turf at the video at GG.

Just a FYI...
Why I got those MP-32... I practice my swing about 2 hours a night in my garage and plan to be a good ball striker when Spring comes around...
