I know this driver is old at this point, but I picked up a 9.5 at a golf shop for $150, with a Stiff Diamana 65 Gram shaft..............Boy am I impressed.

This is my first Titleist driver, but this ball flight is unbelievable, and it really explodes off the face.

I gained approx. 15 yards over my 10.5 Nike SQ Sumo Regular Flex.

Does everyone think that it has more to do with the loft/shaft setup, or the driver head?

I really don't know too much about shaft differences etc. so that's what I'm wondering. Thanks!!

That driver is longer than the square driver, and more workable.

That is an understatement. I picked my 907D2 up after the 909's went on sale and I am extremely impressed.

I think this tremendous yardage gain should be attributed to the change in loft and shaft. However, there is no doubt that the 907 D2 is a really good driver.

It's probably a combination of the shaft and head combo. The sumo isn't the longest driver available, but it is straight. The titleist is a bomber if you can hit it straight, but it's not for everyone. Personally, I love mine and after I got it I knew my quest for the perfect driver was over after having tried about 10 different ones. Enjoy it man, the thing's a bomber.

Do you still play/like the 905R in your sig? I just bought a used 905R with a UST Proforce V2 and I haven't even hit it so I'm a bit curious as to how many people are gaming this 3 years after release.

Sorry for the off topic post, just hope I like my 905R the way the OP digs his 907D2 .

I still use a 905R with the UST V2. The two just seem to go together like peas and carrots. Im switching to the 909d2 when mine arrives, though. I got my old 907D2 reshafted with the V2 shaft just for sh*ts and giggles and i still coundnt hit the damn thing. So i destroyed it.
