Biggest monthly handicap fluctuation

I received my monthly email this morning from the Texas GA updating my handicap, I dropped 0.5 of a shot which I'm happy about, reward for the effort I've been putting into practise recently.

That then got me thinking about what my biggest monthly drop and biggest monthly increases were. Looking back I can see that my biggest monthly drop in the last year was 1.2, and my biggest monthly increase was 0.9, on two occasions.,

I know that there are more factors related to this than just how you played over the past month but I'm curious to see what other people's biggest fluctuations are.

Last year at the beginning of the year I was a 8.9 handicap. Within a month or so my handicap had gone up to 12.3 because many of my best rounds had dropped off and I had picked up a nasty case of the pull-hooks, so all new scores were much higher than those dropping off. Fortunately, I was able to get it back down to 9.8 by the end of the year after fixing the pull-hook. Once this season starts it will probably go up again by quite a bit because 2 of my best score of last 20 are among the 3 oldest scores on my handicap card. I haven't really played since first of January and I'm trying out new irons, so this could get ugly.

In the begining of this past season (may-june i think) I dropped from a 12 to a 7 in one month. I was playing alot and didnt shoot higher than 83 or 84 for couple of weeks strait. It took me the rest of the season to drop down to a 4, though. Which is where i finished the season.
