Is ebay the only place to sell a new 3-iron (if anyone will buy it!)?

I just picked up some TM Tour Preferred irons, 3-PW, but I really want to get rid of the 3-iron and pickup the AW. I wanted a 4-AW set, but $540 shipped for the 3-PW was too good of a deal to pass up. I guess worst case scenario I might be able to get $60 for it (if anyoue would even buy it) and use that toward the AW.

Are there any shops that will swap individual irons?

It's not the only place but probably the best. You could try Craigslist.

For the most part the only chance you'll have to get rid of 3 iron is to sell on eBay. Some stores that deal in used clubs might take it, but you're not going to get much money for it. Then again, you're not going to get much money for it on eBay either at this point. There are some used club stores on eBay that might also be willing to take it, but I can't really think of many of them. I know Dallas Golf is one, but I'm not sure if they are willing to buy stuff like that.

Best of luck. In today's golf that will be a hard club to get rid of and get any value for it. You're probably going to be better off getting the AW and holding onto the three until you can find someone who might be wanting one. Otherwise, I doubt that you get much for it. Another option is to just keep it and if in the future you want to sell the whole set you may be able to get a few extra dollars since it will have an extra club.

Uh, why don't you keep the 3 iron and use it for practice at the range. Once you get used to hitting the 3, the mid irons will seem easy. Seems like an inexpensive training aid at this point.

I don't even order the 3 or 4 iron when buying new clubs. Most retailers will let you get any 9 clubs you want for the 3-pw price. It seems like nobody but me ever asks them to do it. Try it next time you're in the store.

I usually just get the 5-pw, it's only 6 clubs, but it's the 6 I use. I, like many, had many sets with brand new 3 and 4 irons left in the garage. Why buy clubs you won't use?

I do like the idea of using the 3 iron for practice. I still have one in the garage from my old Eye 2's. I'll occasionally swing it in the driveway for mid winter warm ups.

This seems like the best way to go. You might

want to play a 3 iron one day anyway so you might as well keep it. There's really no place to exchange irons like that.
