I got a used, although like-new, Tour Edge Exotics 4-wood and was teeing it low, but still got one high off the toe and put about a 1/4" wide idiot mark the just creeps from the face onto the top of the club.

Anyone have any suggestions for fixing it? For now I just threw a little permanent black marker on there so you can't really see it at address unless you look for it, but I was wondering if anyone has had success with anything else?

The two things I'm thinking of are black car touch-up paint - probably just doing a quick dab and wiping it offso just the scratches get filled in. The other is this car scratch repair stuff called QUIXX which has a couple tubes of stuff - one that rubs out the scratch and the other the restores the gloss. From what I can find, it's the only really good stuff for cars.

OK, on a whime I bought some NuFinish scratch remover from Target and it did a pretty respectable job. Most of these car scratch removers have a very mild paint thinner in them, so when I put this on and rubbed it off, the scratches that had rubbed off the top layer of paint were now more filled in with the paint.

So at least now when I look at the club at setup you dont' see the idiot mark. If the light hits it the right way, of course you can see the scratches, but now they are more filled in with black than the silver they were before.
