I know there are a lot of people who dont believe in launch monitors and the spin numbers and fitting, etc...I dont want to get into that argument.

Im in the mid to upper 90's for my swing speed and currecntly play the R7 425 65g stiff shaft. Im looking into the the Titlesit D2 with the Diamana shaft.
Im going to get on the launch monitor tomorrow and try the regular and stiff shaft. I have very even temp which I've been told can help me get away with playing a regular shaft.

So what should I look for tomorrow? What kind of numbers? I've always been a low ball hitter, but my launch angle can be below 10 sometimes.

Thanks in advance!

The big picture here is that you are a good golfer.

My initial thought was that if you swing in the mid to upper 90s with the driver, you might do better with regular flex.

Generally, you want a higher launch angle and less spin. T. Woods and JB Holmes have the same swing speed, but Holmes launch angle is higher with less spin, thus he gets almost 20 yards on Woods (for total driving distance)

Keep in mind that these guys at launch monitors are often salesmen.

Launch angle, ball speed and clubhead speed, carry distance and roll, and RPMs. I forget what the "optimum" launch angle is, but I remember around 12*...I'm not sure though. Ball speed and clubhead speed speak for themselves. There's also this "smash factor" thing which basically relates the clubhead vs. ball speed. The higher the better. Carry distance and roll...duh. RPMs measure spin.

I would say those are the most important things to look at on a launch monitor. I like to see my flight because I don't know what 13*, 100 mph, and 3000 rpms looks like, so you may want to try it at a range as well.

When I was picking my driver, the guy said smash factor was a good thing to look at. I think its ball speed divided by club head speed or the other way around, but I'm not sure. I do know that 1.5 is pretty good though.

I find it very funny that you posted this thread. I too have a tm r7 425 reg flex, and i am also going to get fit tomorrow for a d2. However i am going to be looking at other shafts. Still though...very similar. Good luck tomorrow!

Good luck! I have hit the D2 and really like it. Now it comes down to which shaft...
