I am currently a 15 handicap. I use R7 draw irons (graphite). I am looking for a reputable place or person in SE wisconsin for a good club fitting. I am looking to get the Taylor Made 2009 burner irons, and a new set of wedges (52-56-60 combo, though company is undecided) Also looking to get fit for a putter and the right ball for me. I've used Golf Galaxy before but I don't know if there is someone better for me in my area. I am wondering what other people's experiences are from Golf Galaxy in iron and ball fittings. Also if there is anyone reading this who might know a trustworthy place in SE wisconsin I can go to get a set of clubs that are actually set up for "my" game. Any comments or questions would be helpful.

The best thing to do is to check with local golf courses - especially the teaching pros - to see what they recommend. They will almost always know where to go.

As for Golf Galaxy and fitting, I think it depends on the PGA Pro (and/or whoever does the fittings) there. I have had a couple of OK experiences with fittings at Golf Galaxy, but I know a couple people who haven't. The important thing to do is go to either a PGA Professional or an actual Fitting Pro (not sure what the name of that organization is, but it's different than the PGA).

I guess that's what I'm trying to find. Some professional around here who is reputable in this area. That's why I've come to these forums (and others) looking for any answers. I want to get clubs soon as golf season (in Wisconsin) begins real soon. I don't want to have to settle for GG if I don't have to but will if I can't find anyone trustworth enough. So hopefully some other people can chime in with some help, maybe anyone even in my area could help me out.
