Has anyone bought the XPlod SV-MOI Tour SQUARE from Pro Series Golf? It is similar to the Nike XPlod SQ2. Pro Series Golf is offering it for $55.00 for the component head.

In the past, I have had some luck in getting clone components that played as well as the OEM stuff. Just curious to see if anyone has purchased it and hit it.

Oh... he said ____ was a copy of the "Nike XPlod" and he must have meant Dymo. Anyway, my last driver was an SV2, which is the clone of the original Nike Sasquatch. I shafted it with a UST Proforce Gold 65, and it played pretty darn good. I hit it side by side with the Sasquatch with a V2 shaft in it, and honestly it was a toss up, plus the component didn't have the ugly half moon in a different color, instead it was one color and had some dots. Overall it was a less distracting appearance than the Sasquatch. I bought the clone club for about $120 and it played real well for 3 years, no complaints. I have hit other clones and some are good, others feel terrible. Sometimes they feel similar to the orginal, sometimes not so much. Sometimes the quality is not there... you just never know. The SV2 worked very well for me, but with the availability of good OEM stuff that is only a year old and discounted heavily... I would go with that. For example, I bought my FT-i LCG Tour for $150 off Callaway Pre-owned and it looked new. The shaft alone is worth more than that...

It just depends if your willing to take a chance... like I said, the SV2 was great, but it is taking a chance anytime you buy a club w/o hitting it. Let us know what you do.
