I'm thinking about purchasing a set of Hireko Caiman clubs. Has anyone tried these out yet. I really like the fact that you can order individual clubs easily and they've received good reviews. And there a lot less expensive then name brand counterparts.

Anyone use Hireko's in the past?

You can easily order single irons from most companies. I bought my pings a few at a time custom fitted.

In the Ogio Kingpin bag:

Titleist 913 D2 9.5* w/ UST Mamiya ATTAS 3 80 w/ Harrison Shotmaker & Billy Bobs afternarket Hosel Adaptor (get this if you don't have it for your 913)
Wilson Staff Ci-11 4-GW (4I is out of the bag for a hybrid, PW and up were replaced by Edel Wedges)
TaylorMade RBZ 5 & 3 Fairway Woods

Cobra Baffler T-Rail 3 & 4 Hybrids

Edel Forged 48, 52, 56, 60, and 64* wedges (different wedges for different courses)

I bought my driver used from Hireko's closeout page. The only thing I needed to do was put a new grip on it - but they did list the club as "fair" condition so thats not even a gripe. I love the club and would do business with them again. I'm actually thinking of buying a set of irons from them this fall for next season.

In my Vaporlite Bag
Driver: Hireko PowerPlay Q2 10.5*
3 Wood: SS 3.5 14*
20* Hybrid: 3dx
Irons: 804 OS 4-PWWedges: 52* Vintage Forged 54* Vokey Spin-Milled 58* Vokey Raw Putter: Crossbax 2.0Ball: Gamer or D2 Feel

I'm not a big fan of the Caiman clubs, but Hireko is a very good company and I play a set of their Acer XP905 Pro irons. Really good clubs regardless of the price -- excellent quality and finish -- most people who see them think they are much more expensive than they are. Hireko has great customer service too.

If you like the clubs I'd say go for it.

I'm curious MGP why are you not a fan of the Caiman clubs? From your handicap I can see that they may not be the best fit. Any other reasons?

I just don't like the styling, I prefer something a little more traditional looking. Any of Hireko's own branded clubs I've seen (Acer, Dynacraft, etc.) have all been very good quality. I would expect the Caiman clubs to be high quality as well.

I also should mention that Jeff Summit, Hireko's technical director is a very respected club designer in the industry.
