I recently purchased a few Callaway Hybrids for a really good price. The only problem is that the black paint on the top of the club head has been chipped from sky balls and what not. Also some problems around the hosel.

I tried googling a touch-up paint, but couldn't come up with anything good. The ones that I did find were out of business or out of stock.

I ended up buying some gloss black protective enamel paint from Home Depot. I plan on sanding down the club head to give it a little courseness for the paint to stick, then painting with the gloss black, and will finish with a wet-sand up to 1500 grit. After that I'll probably spray it with an enamel clear coat.

Does anyone have any experience with this and want to point me in the right direction? I don't want to make these clubs look any worse than they do. Thanks in advance.

My golf partner uses automotive paint. Multiple coats as they flash very quickly, then a couple coats of good car wax. Its all about the prep work.

They come out like new, and you have a better choice of color selections for a custom look.
