Hey y'all,
Is there any way to tell the flex of a shaft without having to take it anywhere to get it looked at. I don't have anywhere close to where I am to get golf equipment worked on. My girlfriend's dad just gave me a 3, 5, and 7 wood that he had. They have a graphite shaft I believe but I don't know how stiff the shaft is and if it will work for me. I will have to look at them tomorrow at the driving range I guess. (Gives me an excuse to FINALLY go golfing!) I haven't had much time to look at them, so they may have the writing on them anyway, but just in case...
I believe they are a knock off of some Cobra clubs, so I don't know what they are called exactly...

Any help or ideas are appreciated!
Thanks!

Note any markings on the shaft and contact the manufacturer. That is the only way to do it from home as far as I know.

Write down on here what's written on the shafts, on the heads and I can look them up. I may not find them, but I'm willing to try.
I make all my own clubs:

Ok. I know it's been a while, but I just remembered those clubs. I've been working on hitting my irons and completely forgot about those clubs.

They are King Snake clubs They have M.R.S. under the name. I have a 3 wood 15* loft, 5 wood 21* loft, and a 7 wood 25* loft. They are silver and gold writing on them.
The shafts don't say much on them. Rapport Oracle Plus. Then it says Swing Science by Rapport...
So I don't know anything about these clubs, but I would say they are a little old... The face of them is kind of different. And the flex seems kind of light to me, but I could just not know anything.. Probably the case. haha.
There is no numbers on them and they have lamkin grips on 'em.

Thanks!

Best I can find, is the King Snake brand of clubs is a knock-off "clone" club to the King Cobra. I cannot find on line anywhere that tells me the age or the time these heads were released and/or taken off the market. By the way, I found more on line about "women's" King Snake then men's, but given that the 3-wood is 15* I'm assuming these are mens.

The Oracle shaft is still available. They are a low end, wound graphite made by Rapport. These were hard to find on line, so I'm assuming they're not one of the "big shaft" producers.

The shaft I found on line was 84 grams, 4.5* torque with low to mid bend points.

I don't know if this helps at all ...

Thanks a lot! I was just wondering about them. They were given to me, so no money lost that's a good thing! haha.

Thanks a lot for the help! I may see if I can get a couple bucks out of them later, I like my other cheapo fairway woods better, steel shaft.
Thanks again!

    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
    • Day 1 - 2025-12-20 Starting a new streak, of at least 1. With rain dumping for the next week in the north bay area, I'll be a lot of outdoor net work and maybe some putting. About 10 minutes of 7 iron work, focused on the usuals: weight transfer, keeping hands behind me. I'll have more time in the coming days for video review and maybe some Hack Motion.
