cleveland launcher combo set

A friend of mine wants to start golf and wont take my advice on buying a used set of clubs. Has anybody heard much about the cleveland launcher set? I looked at it the other day the irons look ok but the drivers look like S. Has anybody played with em?

don't think your friend can go too far wrong with the launcher combo set if he's just starting golf... he could certainly do a lot worse. No use getting too nice a set now, as by the time he becomes more proficient and starts club ho-ing, his choices will be many.

Driver: TaylorMade RocketBallz 10.5-deg
Woods: Cobra Bio Cell+ 3W and 5W
Hybrids: Bobby Jones Workshop Hybrid 3 (20-deg) and 5 (25-deg)
Irons: Srixon XXIO7 from 6 - PW
Wedge: Srixon XXIO7 GW and SW

yeah i just figured that he should get a set with a good core set of irons and then he can slowly start replacing the woods as he sees fit.

      I don't know… The TaylorMade Tiger Woods grinds were decent. I like narrow soles with a lot of bounce (lots of camber) and good heel/toe relief.
