in my back swing, after my hips and torso, when shoulders begin to turn i am not sure if i should keep my left shoulder on the same plane as it moves under my chin (forcing my upper torso around further than my natural swing), or do i allow it to slightly rise as my hands reach the top of my backswing. suggestions?

when i keep it on the same plane i feel like i comprimise my back angle, however i do feel like i get more torque. when doing so, if i transfer my weight just right i can really get ahold of it, but more often than not i end up catching grass before the ball.

i have no issues if i allow the sholder to rise, i just feel like i may be missing out on some club speed.
