Never got 'it' until yesterday, although I'd at least tried out every Scotty that came through my club's pro shop. When I checked in for my round yesterday though, the assistant pro hands me a newly arrived 35" Kombi that wasn't even priced yet. Off to the putting green, and wow.....just.....wow. The thing is so well balanced that it almost literally felt like it was swinging itself. Ok, wife's going to have a fit, but oh well, she'll live. Despite feeling like this was the one, wasn't really sure what to expect from my first round with a new putter. Shot 75 (low round of the year so far) with a 35' eagle putt and not a single 3 jack. Color me converted. All hail Scotty.

I'd say it's definitely worth taking a look at for sure. I've always been a mallet guy too (previous putter was a two ball), and the Kombi just felt SO 'right' from the get go.

Welcome to the club and good luck! Once I became a Cameron convert, I quickly followed up with two more (Red X-5, a Circa 62' #5 and #6). In getting the second Scotty, my wife swears I was possessed, scrounging the house looking for clubs to trade in, which eventually allowed me to get it for less than $70 new at Golfsmith. The third one, she got me for this father's day used on Ebay ($110) because she said the way I talk about them, she thought it was time she gave me another orgasm. At 45 years old, I can tell you I have never putted better in my life; I average 31 putts a round and the primary course I play has those fast and huge 1960s type greens. The feel is second to none - I got my youthful touch back! Nothing is better than a two putt on a 60 foot double-breaker!

My Tools of Ignorance:

Driver: Ping I20 9.5*
Woods/Hybrids: Cobra AMP 3W and 3 HY

Irons: Cobra AMP 4-GW

Wedges: Callaway Forged Copper 56* and 60*

Putters: Scotty Cameron  35" (Several of the flow neck blade variety)

Ball: Bridgestone B330-RX and Srixon Z-Star

Bag: Nike Performance Carry
