So yesterday I golfed 9 holes. I walked the course and I don't recall feeling any pain while on the course. Shortly after I got home, however, my big toe has begun seriously hurting, like I strained something or pulled something in it. It especially hurts when I take my normal swing and I follow through and push off of my right foot onto my toes.

Any ideas what I did and how to avoid it during future rounds?

Any ideas how to help my current situation? (Other than rest it )

If I had to I could probably play through it, but I would hate to do more damage.
