I am getting ready to go on a trip where I need to bring my golf clubs with me. I have a nice bag boy THC-3 hard case, but it does not have TSA approved locks on it. I am afraid if I do not lock the case the latches will not stay closed. I don't really want to spend the money on a new travel case right now. Is there a good way to attach the key to the case if the TSA need to open it or are there any other options I am missing?

If the case won't stay closed without using the manufacturer's non compliant lock, you can't use the bag.

Maybe call the manufacturer, perhaps there's a TSA compliant fix available.

If you try to lock and use the bag, TSA will break the lock, and if the bag really won't stay closed unless locked, your clubs could be "lost". There is a 100% chance of the TSA opening your golf bag. I have flown with my sticks about 30 times since 9/11, they've been opened every time.

Could you borrow a bag from someone?

At Lagurdia you can stand there and watch them do thier thing then give them the key and they will lock it for you.Ask them they are usually pretty cool about your stuff.
