Here is my little story, back in High school, I played on the golf team, and junior golf, got away from golf and into other things, joined the ARmy, started playing, went to Korea, cut back on playing, went to Iraq, got back started playing again, recently shot my best ever on a par 70 course, a 72. Recently had the anti-kid procedure, so 2 weeks before anything beyond putting for me.... So lots of internet golf, ope to get to know you all on this board here....

I don't know how FT Carson's course is but the Air Force Academy has two beautiful 18 hole courses. Take a drive up there and check them out.
