I am happy to report new irons are in my bag

Went to "play it again sports" yesterday, Set of basically brandnew clubs in the MP57 project x 5.5 shafts with the nice Golfpride red grips $500 and I knew one of the kids working there so i got an extra 10%!

the 5 iron was still in the plastic and each club looked to be hit maybe 2-3 times. No scuffs or ball marks or club chatter.

so $450 for basically brand new mizuno mp57s, (i had a chub honestly)

Also got some recycled pro v1's for $20... I love that store.

All I have left to replace is my bag, and my hybrid.

haha yeah, my fiance was sick of hearing me bitch and complain about getting new clubs so she bought them for me. Shes a keeper :)

was up at my local play it again a few weeks ago and there was a set of AP2's, in pristine condition for $350. Being these clubs are 800+ new, somebody was getting a steal.

went and played today, I love them. sooo sweet,

Shot like crap cuz my driver decided to fail me horrible, 9 holes 12 putts, but my iron shots were on point, but I was making up an extra 100 yards a hole cuz of my drives, I was all out of sync with my driver but shot a 41. If I would have been driving I would have shot lower. Best money I have spent. and GOD DAMNIT I lost a ProV1 on the first fricking drive. pissed me off. My cousin posted his lowest score ever of 50 very happy for him. Hes came along way. with all his damn muscle its amazing he can turn his arms around his chest, lol. We were going to play 18 but the damn weather gods reared their ugly heads, I really didnt want to get struck by lighting with my new clubs.

You sould buy them and flip them on ebay for a couple hundy profit.

No kidding! I almost did that with a set of Nike Sumo irons someone was selling locally on the cheap, but someone beat me to them.

I've done that several times with thrift shop finds.

Best percentage I ever did was a $2 HP15C calculator, I Ebayed it for $268 (plus shipping)

      Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.

      Day 1 - 2025-12-20 Starting a new streak, of at least 1. With rain dumping for the next week in the north bay area, I'll be a lot of outdoor net work and maybe some putting. About 10 minutes of 7 iron work, focused on the usuals: weight transfer, keeping hands behind me. I'll have more time in the coming days for video review and maybe some Hack Motion.
