Driver: still haven't settled on one, but it will be the Callaway FT-i or the new Nike Dymo2.

Irons: Mizuno mx 950 3h, 4h, 5-PW steel

Wedge: Mizuno MP-T (or MP-R, whichever I find) 56*

Putter: Odyssey White Hot Tour # 7

Bag: vTITLEIST X-78 stand bag.

I will not be buying any fairway woods, not now at least. I will use the 3 and 4 hybrids instead.

What do you think?
My achievements:

Have you considered the new R9 460? When I was looking for a new driver, I never even considered the R9 (was never a big fan of Taylor Made), but when the 460 came out, I demoed it and loved it. I was all set to get either the FT-i or the 909 Comp, but I was very impressed with the length and adjustability of the R9. Plus, I usually get custom shafts, but the stock shaft on the R9 fit my swing perfectly.

Also, why don't you want fairway woods? And you should also try the Vokeys. I used to own MP-R wedges, and the Vokeys win hands down. I am assuming you are buying these clubs because you demoed them and they fit your game. If so, then it doesn't matter what other people think, I guess.

i think taylormade drivers r amazing i dont own one myself but i also like the dymo 2 and i agree with going for the vokeys i have a 48* and it was the perfect replacement for my pw..i dont use fairways woods either i have hybrid 3,4,5 even though i have troble with them i hit them better than any wood i do keep a 3 woood just in case my drive is too long for the hole beside that i never use woods..ive never used any mizuno irons or any new irons for taht fact but if you hit those clubs better than nething ppl say screw them

I have a mizuno wedge. I actually like the vokey's a little more.

No idea why you wouldn't want a fairway wood. the 3-hybrid would be 20 yards shorter than a 5 wood (at least for me) maybe more.

I agree to look at the R9, my buddy has one and it has a good look and sound. I would get fitted for everything, that is for sure.

Agreed. My 3 and 5 wood are two of my best clubs, i'd drop my hybrids long before i'd get rid of them. But as I said in my post above, instead of blindly buying clubs, he should try out a few different options.

Agree with most of whats been said, I'd go for the R9 over the Callaway or Nike drivers. My buddy (who spends an inordinate amount of his money on new gear has a R9 and its a good 20 yards longer than my R7 DRAW, also very forgiving and easy to adjust.
The iron choice is spot on, you wont regret buying Mizuno; believe the hype. The putter's a very personal thing, I'd try out as many as you can before you decide, try out some models because they really get the ball rolling quickly.
I'm not sure I agree with the guy who recommended Vokeys over the Mizuno's; I'm not suggesting for a minute that the Mizuno's spin as much as the Vokeys, they definately don't. But if you're a decent ball striker then they spin consistently and controlably without chewing up your ball. Also Mizuno's are forged so they give you better feedback and feel, which is vital in a wedge.
