I walk 90% of my rounds and don't need a lot of the bells and whistles on the current bags. But I also want to carry all 14 of my clubs and not have to fight them when I remove them and put them back in the bag, so I'm not sure if I could get away with a 7 inch top.

Years ago I used a Vagabond -- is there anything else out there that compares to it right now?

Anybody have any experience with the Sunday bags currently on the market?

I have a Mizuno sunday bag, it's the same size as the Callaway and Nike ones. They def will not hold 14 clubs and be easy to walk with. I use mine for Par 3 9 holers and when I go out to work on specific irons at the range or when I do my short game workouts.

I mean, you CAN fit 14 clubs in there, but carrying it will be ungainly.

I have a titleist pencil bag. It's great, but it got a hole in the bottom of it within 5 months because i must have used it for 45 rounds and titleist are sending me a new one
I think it's fairly practical for up to 11/12 clubs, but does get a bit full and hard to pull clubs in and out of with a full set.

I have the regular Titleist Sunday bag (last year's model) and it is fantastic. Sturdy enough to use on cart if need be, but very light, and room for everything I need. Clubs get a little crowded, but when I walk, I usually take a couple out anyway. Used it today, a joy.

I think the Ping Hoofer Light is a really nice no frills, super light bag that will still hold 14 clubs (and I'm kind of an anti-Ping guy). I don't think they are making them anymore but I see some on Ebay currently.

You should definitely look into the "Callaway Mini Looper Stand Bag" It has a 5 way divider and is only 3 pounds. It has a 7" top so 14 clubs would be pushing it. I would venture out to say most Sunday bags are not meant to fit 14 clubs, more in the vicinity of 10 clubs. If your looking to carry all 14 clubs and want to lighten the load, either get a push cart or a lightweight non-Sunday bag. You are just going to frustrate yourself with grips tangling as you reach for your clubs.

    • They sure do. 158 with an 8 iron is on the high end for me
    • Went back to controlling my knees. That part was getting a bit sloppy when I worked on my backswing. Right hip didn't slide or gain internal rotation. I would just rotate back and around and the left knee would be in a bad spot. Really focusing now on keeping my left knee very stable and straighter in the backswing. I can't go back to the old pattern of overturning the hips. I was returning to my old pattern to time my downswing. Turn forever.  Left knee controls both knees and hips, acting as an anchor. Feel like it straightens a bit.   Hinge sooner and faster. Not in a way that sends the hands out and flips the club over. I still noticed when the hands get to A2.5, the hands would want to flip over and flatten the club out a ton.  Still trying to figure out how to roll the forearms a bit open and not just roll the club inside a ton.  Figure out the timing to get the hands down. Still getting a bit of right elbow collapsing in the downswing because the arms are too high when I turn. Everything is happening sooner now. If the hips are controlled, the backswing is shortened. Because it is shortened I don't know when to get the hands down and I just turn because the downswing is a go.  Very slow (50%) swings are decent.
    • Distances look fine, no?
    • Day 207-12 Wider backswing and arm reconnecting in downswing. Did a much better job with proper wrist movements through downswing today.
