Has anyone heard anything about a new Cleveland Launcher Comp? A good friend of mine recently made it to the US Open Tuesday practice round. Over the time he was there, he could of swore that he saw a new version of the Comp driver in Cleveland players bag. He said it had a pretty similar look to the old one but a whole new sole design. He said it looked brand new. So has anyone heard anything about it?

I noticed that several of the players were sporting the Hi-Bore headcover on their driver, but when removed they revealed something other than a Hi-Bore (unless Cleveland has changed the distinctive shape of the Hi-Bore head). It looked like the Launcher Comp.

Scott.

touring pro's rarely use what we see in stores... everything is modified as they often use a prototype version of the items, I think pro's def. blow through clubs faster then we do but I think when they get a proto before the market release they tend to remain playing that as proto's are geared more towards their skill level as general market releases are somewhat "dumb downed" to accommodate the 85% of golfers who can't break 90
