Went to Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy to check out some drivers and irons.

First Stop "Dick's Sporting Goods":
Nike Dymo Str8 Fit Driver 9.5 Stock Stiff
Average Distance - 275 yards
TM SQ 9.5 Stock Stiff
Average Distance - 270 yards
Callaway X-22 Tours in PX6.0 - 195 yards (6-iron)

Second Stop "Golf Galaxy":
Mizuno MP-52 in Stiff - 150 yards
Callaway X-22 Tours in PX6.0 - 170 yards
Titleist AP2 in PX5.5 - 155 yards
Adams Pro Gold in Stiff - 160 yards

Dick's Sporting Goods hitting bay launch monitor was definitely was inflated since I don't average anywhere near 270 yards with a driver or 200 with a 6-iron. I loved how a middle aged man who hit before me took the numbers that machine was spewing out and actually thought he hit it that far... Golf Galaxy's numbers were more realistic. The X-22 Tours even in a PX6.0 shaft definitely felt so nice that I just may be able to overcome to ugly appearance.

Anyone playing the X-22 Tours? Just want to see how they perform outside of a hitting bay.

A friend of mine loves his x-22 tours. Today I made the mistake of asking him how he like the "new irons" in earshot of his wife.....

See if you can find some AP2's in a 6.0 to demo and see if that changes anything for you. I'd want to make sure I had the same shaft setup when hitting side by side.

And yes all those simulators are inflated. IMO they feed demo greens towards the cups and have the monitors and simulators tell you what you want to hear to make sales.
