Ping G5---Need help!

I am 51, 6'4" 215 lbs, 25 handicap. Hit drives about 260 (when I hit it perfect) with 95 mph swing speed (Ping G5, stock shaft, regular flex, 10.5 degrees). I tend to hit "fade" drives. Six iron is about 150 yards with 75-80 mph swing speed.

I have gone to two Ping Demo Days and tried Aldila, Graffaloy, Ping shafts. Ping guys gave me stiff shafts with offset head, and they all felt & looked good. But thats a driving range, so who knows?

My question is: What is the difference with all the Ping G5 shafts? Ping guys said Graffaloy hits with more spin, Aldila is lower trajectory. I just dont know if I should switch from Reg to Stiff flex. What should be my considerations?

the best thing would be to go to www.ping.com and search for a local fitter in your area, with that information go there and have a professional place you on a launch monitor. There he'll read your swing speed, launch angles, spin rates, ball speed, carry distance etc etc etc... plus a certified fitter should have the G5 is several lofts and shafts... it takes some time and patience but getting fitted is the way to go... hope this helped

      The criticisms are starting already 🤣 U.S. Open pro criticizes Shinnecock green conditions: 'Bumpy' After playing his first practice round at the 2026 U.S. Open, Michael Kim offered a less-than-glowing review of Shinnecock's "bumpy" greens.   The sand, I don't care about that. If the greens didn't come back as well for latest aerification, that would be a bit of a blunder on Shinnecock I think.

      Well, if your frame of reference spins twice during the swing, then Bryson's ab/adduction is more like 780 degrees so there! (Yes I'm being silly, but not sure it's any sillier than what your pal Andy is doing...)

      Update: Brandon Sorsby has decided to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft. He will not play for Texas Tech in the upcoming season.  From my perspective, I think he did the right thing. I hope he gets the correct help for his gambling addiction. I say the right thing, because I would be worried that the stress from all of this now and throughout the entire year would not be beneficial towards his mental health.  If an NFL team picks him up, then there really isn't any pressure for him to play immediately.
